Goals Setting for 3 Way Conferences

Goals Setting for 3 Way Conferences

This week we have been working on setting our goals for the year. It was a long and tiring process. The most stressful part was ensuring that our buddies were on task doing it correctly. We started of with a class brainstorm of our highlights for term 1 and term 2.

Some of our highlights for term 1 were: Polyfest, Swimming, Shared lunch, Bikes, Super hero inquiry, building roller coasters, visiting the Clendon library and doing DMIC lessons.
Highlights for term 2 were: The Fun Run, Year 6 Camp, Samoan Language Week, Building Wind Powered Cars, Science Road Show and having our own student blogs.

Our teacher then shared our current levels for reading, writing and maths with us. We then set some meaningful goals for reading, writing and maths. We also chose a PRIDE goal
that we decided to focus on. A Key Competency Goal (managing self and relating to others) was also chosen.

Our next step is to practice how we are going to share our goals with our parents at the 3 way conference. We will have to do all the talking this time and our teacher will just be there to guide us.
