Our New ILE setup

Our New ILE (Innovative Learning Environment) setup

During maths we have been learning how to see time. That was a major gap in our PAT test.

Mrs Rassool introduced reciprocal reading to us this term. We watched videos and learnt what it was about. We all had different roles to play. It included, predicting, clarifying, asking questions and summarising. This is what our reciprocal reading sessions look like.

This is what our modelling book looks like.

Mr Savage takes us for writing. He has workshops daily and we need to attend at least two a week. We focus on the different genres of writing like Persuasive, Information reports, Procedures and Explanation.

These are some of the shared writing samples done by Mr Savage and his groups that attend his workshops.

When we are not with the teacher, we need to manage ourselves and our learning. This is what that looks like.

Whaea Christine our LSA (Learning Support Assistant) does the Spring into Maths programme with a group of students.

This is our wall display in the working room. It contains exemplars and student work samples for the different curriculum areas. It also tells us our next learning steps.

This is our editing room wall display.

This is our data board that we use to track our learning.

This is our TRUMP wall. The key competencies which stands for Thinking, Relating to Others, Understanding Language, Text and Symbol, Managing Self and Participating and Contributing. This wall also has our token boxes that we earn for using our TRUMP and school values.
