Our Ferris Wheel Project

Our purpose was to use our literacy and maths to complete our prototype. We watched Youtube videos and researched how to build a ferris wheel. 

Our Reading task was to use visualisation, summarising and questioning.

Learning intention

• Use my imagination to draw what the Ferris Wheel will look like after reading the text
• Summarise the text I have read and record where I read the text 
• I will ask questions during the reading to further understand the text

Success Criteria 

• To draw a picture of the Ferris Wheel after I have read the text
• I will summarise the text, so the reader knows what the text is about
• I will write 5 questions while I read and one after

For writing, we had to write a procedural piece to show a step by step instructions on how to make our Ferris Wheel 

WALT: 

• Write a procedural/explanation piece that explains to the audience how to make your Ferris Wheel PROJECT

Success Criteria:

• I will write a step by step procedure/explanation for our Ferris wheel project in the school
• I will ensure it meets the R 5’s in my writing rubrics

We used Coggle to plan our writing.

After doing all of our written work, we were ready to do the fun stuff, the building of our prototype.
